Our apartment has cabinet space for about 8 mugs. Okay, that's an exaggeration. It's more like 6. Either way, that is NOT enough. So last weekend, we installed open shelving along an unused wall in the kitchen. This weekend, we found the perfect colour to jazz up the Ikea step ladder we bought to reach all the (lesser used) items on the higher shelves.
After sanding and priming the disassembled step ladder, we — and by we I mean Mitch — applied one coat of this Liquitex spray paint, in Phthalocyanine Green 7. Liquitex spray paints are amazing! They come on an array of highly-pigmented colours so only one coat is needed. We found this one in the fine arts section at Michaels (There were spray paints in the craft section as well, but they didn't have nearly as many teal options! The magentas looked pretty impressive, too!)
Like I said, only one coat was needed. After drying, Mitch put the step ladder back together. I didn't help with this part either, but he did have a giant pumpkin ale by his side the whole time.
